![]() I wanted to see how well the OpenGL renderer works in Windows.ġ.) The performance hit of using OpenGL over DX in ESO was almost non-existent for me, I noticed no significant disadvantage to using it. This depends on a lot of things though, so in general DX out performs OpenGL in games not specifically optimized for it. In general though, it has less overheard and in the right environment, performs better than DX. The results surprised me, but not for the reason I expected.įirst, it should be stated that OpenGL is every bit as advanced as DX11 and has the same capabilities and feature set, it's just usually harder to implement. Installing beta drivers results in no graphic corruption on login screens and loading screen, but, it apparently installs a complete package meaning some slightly older DX drivers as well, so be aware of that. ![]() Performance with this driver sucks however, the beta one listed below is much better. HOWEVER, it has no effect on in game text, so you can do this without installing the beta drivers. Using the latest nvidia drivers and opengl will display some weird graphics on the login screen and also garbled text in loading screens. You're millage may vary.Įdit again: Installing the beta package will apparently install older DX drivers as well. I had weird graphical distortion until I installed separate opengl drivers. I use Nvidia so googled "Nvidia OpenGL Drivers" and installed those.Įdit: You might already have Opengl installed, try launching the game before installing the beta drivers below. Next, make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest Nvidia or AMD OpenGl Drivers. Search for either and then replace with OPENGL. You'll be using either D3D9 or D3D11in the settings file. \Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\UserSettings.txt To attempt this, you'll need to edit your setting file located at. Playing around with the user setting.txt file I decided to see how well the OPENGL renderer worked for ESO as opposed to the default Dx11 (Dx10 wrapper.) I've seen this hinted at before but didn't see anything substantive regarding it. I'd be curious to know if anyone else tries this and what the results are. ![]() I posted this on the official forums as well in the technical support forums but figured a few people here might be interested as well. ![]()

Unfortunately I originally bought a belt that was only 2 inches larger than my waist size and so after 2 years and a number of snippings, it is pretty tight. There is a very simple remedy to this - just snip off a small bit of the belt on the buckle side so that the buckle has a fresh piece of leather to grip onto. ![]() After extensive use the indentations in the belt holding the buckle expand and the buckle doesn't grip as firmly as before and can fall off. I bought my first one back in April 2020. To learn more about how and for what purposes Amazon uses personal information (such as Amazon Store order history), please visit our Privacy Notice.
